Therapies and Strategies for Treatment

The clinic sought to eliminate self-defeating thinking called cue extinction. To achieve this, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and cognitive behavioral renewal was used to allow clients the understanding of their feelings and emotions.

Motivational enhancement therapy included therapist guidance in group therapy, individual therapy, wilderness hiking, core exercise programs, self programming, life coaching, nutritional education, lifestyle intervention, aftercare, and family counseling.

The clinic created individualized treatment plans with a time zone which separated treatment into four program zones. The four zones consisted of time periods: mornings, mid-mornings to midafternoons, afternoons and evenings, and night. Observing clients in each time zone gave staff an understanding of which zone the client thrived more in.

Holistic therapies included meditation, yoga, and spiritual counseling. The facility employed addiction counselors, clinicians, physicians, nutritionists, meditation and yoga instructors, and spiritual counselors. Inpatient services lasted for 30, 60, or 90 days based on each client’s needs.
