About Starlight Community Services
The North Center of Starlight Community Services in San Jose, California, offers treatment for ages two to 25 who reside in Santa Clara County. Clients must get approval from the Santa Clara County Department of Mental Health in order to receive treatment.
The program offers many services to clients who are referred. The Recovery Youth Substance Use Outpatient Services Program is available for youth who are diagnosed with substance use disorder.
You will be included in your child’s treatment to further strengthen their support system. Therapy will increase your child’s resilience, support their recovery, and help prevent relapses.
Treatment for At Risk Children
The Raising Early Awareness and Creating Hope (REACH) program is available to youth ages 10 to 25 who are at risk for developing mental illness or addiction. Children who are raised around substance use develop trauma and are at risk of being users themselves.
Early intervention treatment can prevent future hospitalization with engagement in community services and resources for support. The REACH team helps the family change their home environment into a positive one with less stress.
Custody Issue Services
If you are at risk of losing custody of your child because of substance use, TEAMMATES Wraparound can help. They work to keep children in their home permanently. Your assigned county worker can refer you.
Assistance with the Juvenile System
Full Service Partnerships can help you if your child is involved in the juvenile justice system or is at risk of being involved in the system due to substance use. You will be provided with many services and support.
Prevention of Intensive Treatment
Therapeutic Behavioral Services will work with your child on an individual basis to prevent them from needing residential substance use treatment or more intensive care. They will work with your child to keep them at lower levels of treatment. The facility is convenienly located just a few minutes away from the San Jose Mineta International Airport.
