About Family And Children Services Positive Solutions Program
Family & Children Services Positive Solutions Program provides behavioral health in San Jose and is now part of the larger Caminar nonprofit network serving Santa Clara County.
The program supports adults, young adults, families and LGBTQ+ clients managing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Their mission centers on individualized, culturally sensitive care that meets each person where they are.
Community-Based Addiction Treatment
The Positive Solutions Program offers outpatient addiction treatment along with aftercare support and co-occurring disorder care.
As part of the Caminar network the program combines substance use treatment with broader behavioral health resources and case management.
In sessions, clients may engage in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, one-on-one counseling and group therapy to address both addiction and underlying mental health concerns.
Treatment is designed to build practical coping skills while supporting long-term recovery goals.
Mental Health and Wraparound Support
Beyond addiction care the program reflects Caminar's integrated approach blending trauma-informed care, psychiatric support and medication management.
Wraparound services such as case management, vocational rehabilitation, supported education and job training help clients stabilize and thrive.
Multilingual support and services for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals reflect a community-responsive focus.
