CPC North

CPC North is a Joint Commission accredited outpatient opioid treatment program located in North Miami, Florida, specializing in medication-assisted treatment for adults.

Founded in 1979 by psychiatrist Dr. Roberto Ruiz, a Nyswander-Dole Award recipient, CPC North offers personalized, evidence-based care in a supportive environment that helps clients build lasting recovery. The program accepts self-pay, TRICARE, Medicaid, Medicare, and state financed insurance plans.

Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Addiction

The center treats opioid dependency with medication assisted treatment services. Dr. Ruiz has been a pioneer in opiate addiction treatment with over 40 years of experience and leads the program. Treatment combines medications with therapy to address both physical dependence and underlying behavioral patterns.

Treatment includes individualized medication management, psychosocial assessments, and relapse prevention services. Sessions incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to help clients develop coping skills, identify triggers, and work through challenges while medication reduces cravings and withdrawal symptoms.

Outpatient Detox and Intensive Programs

The center offers medically supervised detox programs with treatment plans differing between each unique client. The center provides Intensive Outpatient Programs in person or online virtually using telehealth. Also offered is vocational counseling, HIV/AIDS education, and aftercare planning.
