About CityTeam Mens Program
CityTeam in metropolitan San Jose, California, is an emergency overnight shelter for men. Homeless men can come to the shelter seven days per week at 4:30 pm for a shower, bed, medical care, and clothes if needed. Hot meals are served seven days per week at 9:15 am and 5:00 pm.
Referral for Residential Treatment
If you need residential treatment for substance use and addiction and are suffering from housing, employment instability, or domestic abuse, the center can refer you to the CityTeam San Jose restorative residential program.
Substance Use Treatment and Services
The program offers one year of treatment, housing, assistance finding employment, and other essential resources. The goal is to position you within a year to be able to acquire permanent housing and a job that pays enough to sustain you. You’ll have the option of pursuing education, job training, and certification programs.
The program is faith based and incorporates the 12-step methods. They’ll provide career counseling and trauma sensitive mentoring. Mental and medical services are available for all.
Residents are required to participate in community outreach. The outreach combined with career counseling and resources at their learning and career center ensures all clients can transition from the facility with a meaningful future.
Residential Aftercare for Sober Living
After graduating from the program, you have the option of residential aftercare which can last for up to two years. The environment provides you with a sober and affordable home as you continue your recovery.
