The Barry Robinson Center

The Barry Robinson Center is a behavioral health and dual diagnosis treatment provider in Norfolk, Virginia offering specialized residential care for military connected youth ages 11 to 17 with emotional and behavioral as well as co-occurring substance use concerns.

The campus blends psychiatric, educational, and family centered services in a structured residential setting. Care is grounded in a trauma informed and person centered approach that supports adolescents and their families through stabilization and long term recovery.

The Seven Challenges Substance Use Program

Clients can expect counseling, daily group therapy, weekly family therapy, recreational and art activities, and medication management.

Adolescents with co-occurring substance use concerns engage in The Seven Challenges program, integrated within a trauma informed framework drawn from Risking Connection and Restorative Approach models.
