About STEP2
STEP2 is a women's addiction treatment center in Reno, Nevada offering a comprehensive continuum of care for adult women seeking recovery from substance use disorders.
The program serves women at every stage of recovery including pregnant women and mothers with children through residential treatment and on-campus transitional housing as well as outpatient support.
Addiction Treatment Programs at STEP2
Women typically begin at the Redfield Residential Facility which is a two to three month program providing up to 30 hours of therapeutic services per week in a dormitory style setting.
Following residential care clients can transition to the Lighthouse Campus a 9 to 12 month phase in fully furnished cottages where they continue therapy while rebuilding independence, employment, and rental history.
Throughout the continuum clients receive group therapy using evidence based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy and mindfulness, trauma informed yoga and anger management, and addiction education.
STEP2 also addresses co-occurring mental health disorders and domestic violence recovery in addition to parenting skills with wraparound supports including childcare assistance, medical navigation, and housing placement for women transitioning to outpatient care.
