New Horizons Community Mental Health Center

In Miami-Dade's federally designated poverty area, New Horizons Community Mental Health Center has offered care since March 1974. It's an addiction treatment center in Miami for children, adolescents and adults.

Outpatient and Residential in Miami

Supervised residential care and outpatient counseling both happen at New Horizons. Residential care runs around the clock for adults, and you'll stay on site through the night.

Outpatient sessions are individual, family and group, for children and adults. Medication-assisted treatment, a medicine based approach, stays with the outpatient therapy under licensed medical staff.

The homelessness program is for adults who have a mental health or substance use disorder and who meet homelessness criteria. New Horizons provides case management, residential treatment and outpatient care.

Walk-In Intake in Miami

You can walk in for intake or make an appointment at the main New Horizons location in Miami, Florida. Clinicians use English, French, Creole and Spanish.

A rehabilitation program meets after school and on weekends. It's for youth who have a mental health or substance use disorder.

Medicaid and Medicare are among the plans accepted. If you're paying on your own, a sliding fee scale is available, and services for families with children come at no charge.
