Hope House

Hope House is an addiction treatment center in Anaheim, California. The program admits adults in Orange County, men and women.

People who have HIV or hepatitis C are served here, and so are adults with both mental and physical disorders.

Staff have more than 100 years between them working with adults who have drug or alcohol addictions.

I want to note that medical detox is not offered at Hope House.

How long is residential treatment?

Residential treatment at Hope House runs 30, 60 or 90 days and includes therapy, with links to medical care and psychiatric services.

You live at the center and don't go home at night. Daily walks happen when they're permitted and park outings are monthly.

The Thinking For Change group uses cognitive behavioral therapy.

Residents practice living skills through a hierarchy of house responsibilities, and men and women meet in separate groups. Aftercare comes next to check in on how you're doing.

Hope House holds a license from the California Department of Health Care Services. The center opened in 1976 because of drug abuse in Orange County.
