Center for Dependency, Addiction, and Rehabilitation (CeDAR) is a comprehensive addiction treatment facility that provides programs to tackle multiple substance use disorders that’s located in Aurora, Colorado. This center is a part of the UCHealth network and offers detox management and treatment for people facing alcohol, nicotine, opioids and opiates, stimulants, marijuana, and many other types of substances. Withdrawal Management Support
Trying to end severe substance abuse without support can be dangerous to your health. CeDAR’s detox management program prioritizes medication assisted treatment (MAT) to manage withdrawal symptoms associated with opioids, alcohol, benzodiazepines, and other substances using FDA-approved medications. After successfully completing detox, you can then transition to either an inpatient residential or outpatient addiction treatment program.
Inpatient Residential Programs at CeDAR
CeDAR takes a holistic approach to recovery that includes balancing stress management and mindfulness teaching while encouraging participants to take accountability for their roles in addiction. This also includes helping people gather the skills needed to successfully avoid relapse by overcoming cravings. Inpatient programs include dual diagnosis support, cognitive (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapies (DBT), 12 Steps, and peer support.
You can also sign up for spiritual care, work out in their gym, and socialize in various meeting spaces. The facility’s natural accents and cool colors can put you in a relaxed mood to participate in therapy.
Intensive Outpatient Care
Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) are designed to help people continue addiction treatment especially after completing a residential treatment program. At CeDAR, these small programs are capped at 12 people to ensure that each participant receives supportive individualized care.
The CeDAR IOP combines medication management with therapy and group support in a less structured environment that meets several times a week instead of daily, as in a residential care program. As part of the UCHealth network, CeDAR accepts most insurance companies serving the state of Colorado as well as Medicaid.

- UCHealth CeDAR provides 24/7 medically monitored withdrawal management at its Aurora facility, where adults safely withdraw from alcohol, opioids, stimulants, benzodiazepines, and other substances with medication to manage their withdrawal symptoms.
- Inpatient / residential
- At CeDAR, residential addiction treatment offers adult men and women structured, 24-hour care in a supportive setting, combining individual, group, and family therapy with relapse prevention education and support for co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Outpatient
- Outpatient services give clients flexible addiction treatment while they continue living at home. Care includes evidence-based individual and group counseling, peer recovery support, and medication management from the multidisciplinary team.
- Aftercare support
- Continuing care services include aftercare planning and ongoing recovery support to help adults maintain their progress after completing withdrawal management, residential, or outpatient treatment at the Aurora, Colorado campus.
- Co-occurring disorders
- Dual diagnosis treatment at the center addresses co-occurring mental health conditions alongside substance use disorders. During addiction treatment, psychiatric providers assess and treat depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.

- When inpatient care ends, a sober living home can serve as a bridge to living independently again.
- Partial hospitalization (PHP)
- Partial hospitalization is part of the full continuum of care offered in Aurora, Colorado. It provides intensive, structured programming for adults who need frequent clinical support while living outside the residential treatment environment.
