Garlington Health Center

Garlington Health Center is part of Cascadia Health offering integrated care in Northeast Portland.

The center provides substance use disorder treatment, co-occurring disorder care and primary and mental health services for children, adolescents and adults.

Through a whole-health model Garlington combines clinical recovery support with wellness programming and connections to affordable housing, meeting people where they are.

Flexible Substance Use Disorder Services

Garlington emphasizes addiction recovery through outpatient treatment, outpatient detox and medication-supported recovery for opioid and methamphetamine use disorders.

Available medications include buprenorphine, buprenorphine/naloxone and oral or extended-release injectable naltrexone, with medications readily accessible even for clients in supportive housing.

Treatment involves cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention and trauma-informed counseling.

Clients can engage in various counseling formats supported by case management, peer support, and overdose education.

Gender-Specific Recovery

Garlington serves a wide range of populations including women, men, seniors, veterans, LGBT clients and those affected by trauma or co-occurring disorders.

Its Second Chance for Women program supports clients under Multnomah County Department of Community Justice supervision.

It offers care through gender-specific counseling, medication management and case management.
