About Calvary Healing Center Phoenix

Calvary Healing Center is a treatment center for substance use and co occurring mental health disorders in Phoenix, Arizona. The center works with over a dozen insurance companies, including VA insurance, so payment shouldn’t be an obstacle to treatment. They offer medical detox, residential, and outpatient addiction treatment programs.

Optional Faith Based Treatment Program in Phoenix

Phoenix is a vibrant city known for year round sunshine and warmth. The city is part of the multi city area known as the Valley of the Sun. There are high end resorts, spas, and golf courses. You can see beautiful native plants at the Botanical Garden, 11 miles from the Calvary Healing Center.

One of the unique aspects of treatment here is the optional faith based program. The faith based track is available across all of the facility’s programs. The program allows clients to explore their relationship with God while maintaining a strong evidence based clinical component of treatment. The faith based track is explored more deeply in the residential program and allows you to connect with other like minded clients.

The track includes daily Christian meditations, devotions, and Bible studies. Additionally, there are weekly chapel services. A pastor is available on site five days a week, leading educational groups on topics such as forgiveness, loneliness, suffering, and more.

Unique Family Based Treatment Program

The center offers family programs to help family members dealing with the effects of their loved ones’ substance use. Family members may be working through trust issues, financial challenges, and more.

The programs help family members establish boundaries to keep them safe from addictive behavior patterns and unhelpful family involvement. Family members learn effective communication techniques and how to reduce fear.

There are also support groups that meet via Zoom for families of current patients. After completion of the programs here, clients and their families will have the tools they need to move forward with a more fulfilling, substance free life.

Detox
People who need a structured start before treatment can begin with detox. Settings vary, and care may happen in an inpatient unit or on an outpatient basis.
Inpatient / residential
After detox is complete, many people move straight into inpatient care so recovery can continue with steady support in Arizona.
Partial hospitalization (PHP)
Partial hospitalization brings therapy, group sessions, and regular clinical check-ins into one daytime program.
Outpatient
A person who wants to keep a job or stay in school while getting help may find outpatient treatment fits well. Sessions come at set times, leaving room for family life.
Aftercare support
After a program ends, aftercare support keeps help within reach through counseling, peer groups, and other continuing forms of care.
Co-occurring disorders
Time in care in Arizona looks at the substance use disorder and the mental health condition as one connected picture. When only one is treated, the other can pull recovery back.
