About YMCA Mental Health Services
YMCA Mental Health Services, part of the YMCA of Greater Seattle Social Impact Center, provides outpatient substance use and mental health counseling for people across King County.
The program offers substance use assessments, outpatient services and cooccurring disorder care for all ages, with team specialization in young adults, adults, LGBTQ individuals and people living with HIV or Hep C.
Built around a biopsychosocial approach, the team delivers individualized care that connects addiction treatment with broader community support.
Substance Use Disorder Program
The Substance Use Disorder program offers substance use assessments, outpatient treatment and referral services for individuals of all ages.
As part of a wraparound model, addiction care is paired with mental health counseling and social services rather than isolated as a standalone rehab.
Treatment incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and individualized planning to address both substance use and underlying concerns like anxiety, depression, grief and self harm.
Sessions focus on root causes alongside practical coping skills, with cooccurring disorder support woven throughout.
Affirming Care for Young Adults and LGBTQ Clients
The team brings particular expertise in serving young adults, LGBTQ clients and people living with HIV or Hep C.
Counseling extends to gender identity, body image, family and relationship issues and conflict resolution, all delivered through an affirming, person centered lens.
