VA Portland Health Care System CRRC (Community Resource and Referral Center) is a specialized VA access point in Portland, Oregon, serving Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Located in downtown Portland, the CRRC offers coordinated support, including housing placement, mental health care, primary care and social work services all in one place. Veterans appreciate the walk-in model and the team's focus on rapid connection to housing and wraparound support.
What services does the CRRC offer?
The center provides mental health care for conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and addiction-related concerns. It also connects Veterans to housing resources, primary care, social work support, job training, life skills education, financial assistance and community reentry help.
Who can get help at the CRRC?
The CRRC is designed for Veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, along with their families, when homelessness risk is a concern. Women Veterans can access mental health treatment and recovery support, including care related to military sexual trauma.
Where is the CRRC located?
The center is in downtown Portland at 308 Southwest 1st Avenue, Suite 155, in the Lawrence Building. It is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with walk-in visits welcome.
Is there a cost for services?
Eligible Veterans receive free care through the CRRC's homeless Veteran programming and support services.
