About Union of Pan Asian Communities
Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC) provides addiction treatment and recovery services across San Diego County.
UPAC offers culturally responsive care for adults, teens and transition-age youth, including substance use treatment, co-occurring disorder support, problem gambling treatment and peer services.
Rooted in a multicultural mission UPAC prioritizes culture, ethnic identity and community context to support underserved, diverse and vulnerable populations on their path to recovery.
Culturally Responsive Treatment
UPAC's Adult Addiction Treatment and Recovery program serves adults ages 18 and up including refugees, immigrants and Asian and Pacific Islander communities.
Services include assessments, family counseling, group work, crisis intervention, peer support and case management, with multilingual, trauma-informed care throughout.
Treatment offers outpatient and non-residential care blending counseling with relapse prevention, recovery planning and care coordination.
UPAC also offers non-methadone Medically Assisted Treatment using FDA-approved medications and on-site ambulatory withdrawal management to support early recovery and long-term healing.
Age-Specific Recovery
UPAC builds a continuum of care across generations including the Teen Recovery Center for adolescents ages 12 to 17 and their families.
Expanding Horizons is an outpatient substance use program for transition-age youth ages 18 to 25 and helps young adults navigate recovery with peer support, housing navigation and prosocial activities.
