Union of Pan Asian Communities

UPAC's Adult Addiction Treatment and Recovery Program (ATR) is an outpatient, non residential substance use disorder treatment program in San Diego, California. It serves adults age 18 and up.

The program is part of the Union of Pan Asian Communities, a San Diego nonprofit, and is certified by the California Department of Health Care Services for outpatient treatment.

Addiction Treatment for the Asian American Community

ATR is designed to serve adult refugees, immigrants and other underserved populations, including Asian and Pacific Islander communities.

The program takes a client centered approach aimed at helping people improve their quality of life and strengthen their families, not just achieve abstinence.

Medications and Counseling for Addiction

Clients can receive group counseling, individual counseling, and general mental health therapy each week. The program also offers:

• On-site ambulatory (outpatient) withdrawal management to help reduce symptoms of substance withdrawal.
• Non-methadone medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for clients who are medically and clinically appropriate for it.

Support Services to Supplement Treatment

Beyond clinical treatment, clients have access to case managers who help with practical needs like finding housing, connecting to income resources, locating food banks, and arranging transportation.
