About UHealth Tower Miami
The UHealth Tower is just a short distance north of the Miami River in Miami, Florida. While this location doesn’t provide substance use disorder treatment itself, the greater University of Miami Health System does.
Instead, UHealth Tower’s multidisciplinary team covers several physical health specialties, including emergency care. Medicaid and Medicare are accepted here.
Help in a Crisis
Emergency care can connect you with substance abuse treatment when you’re in crisis. If you show up during a mental health or addiction related emergency, staff can attend to your immediate needs and care for you until you’re stabilized.
When you leave, staff may connect you with a program or a social worker who can help you start an addiction treatment program properly.
A Leading Research Facility
The greater University of Miami Health system has a long history as a substance abuse research center, too. They’re hands on with developing new treatments for addiction and cooccurring disorders and are always exploring ways to make treatment more effective for everyone.
If you go to one of their facilities that provides SUD, you may experience emerging breakthroughs in the field of addiction care before the industry widely adopts them.
