Stepping Stones Treatment Center

In the rural community of Joliet, Illinois, you'll find the Stepping Stones Residential and Mental Health Treatment. The facility is just under an hour southwest of Chicago. While close to the big city, Joliet is more of a rural environment where there’s a much slower pace to life.

If you're struggling with drug or alcohol use, this facility will help you build the skills to lead a sober and productive future. Services include an intensive residential treatment program as well as extended care and recovery home services.

Funding comes from the State Department of Human Services and the United Way, helping make care accessible to uninsured or underinsured individuals. You won't be denied treatment because of an inability to pay.

Treatment Rooted in the 12 Steps

There's a strong focus on participating in 12 Step recovery groups like Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. You'll also participate in SMART Recovery, an approach that emphasizes being proactive in your recovery through evidence based therapies. As you work through counseling, you’ll also be allowed to continue on any prescribed medications you might be on.
