About Star View Community Services
Star View Community Services, part of Stars Behavioral Health Group, is a community based behavioral health program serving Los Angeles County from its Downtown LA office.
The team works with children and adolescents, transitional age youth and adults facing emotional and behavioral, trauma related and co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges.
Star View's mission is to meet clients where they are, delivering care in schools, homes and community settings through close collaboration with families, county agencies and partner organizations.
Co-Occurring Disorder Treatment
Star View specializes in outpatient co-occurring disorder care for clients whose substance use intersects with mental health, trauma or system involvement such as foster care or juvenile justice.
The program draws on roughly a dozen evidence based and evidence informed practices to address each client's unique needs.
Sessions may incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy and parent child interaction therapy, aggression replacement training, and managing and adapting practice.
Clinicians focus on root causes like trauma and family dynamics while providing case management, medication support and psychiatric evaluation to stabilize day to day functioning.
School Linked Support
Beyond outpatient therapy, Star View offers Full Service Partnership, therapeutic behavioral services, and the TEAMMATES Wraparound program.
These services connect youth and families with school staff, social workers and probation officers, building a coordinated support system around the client and home.
Getting Started
Star View operates from its Downtown Los Angeles office at 1625 West Olympic Boulevard and serves clients countywide through additional locations in Long Beach, Torrance, Compton and Carson, Bellflower and El Monte, Reseda and Lancaster, with many services delivered in community settings.
The program accepts Medicaid and Medicare, private insurance and self pay with financial assistance and financing options available.
