About Kansas City Recovery
Kansas City Recovery (KCR) is a sober living home for men 18 and older and boasts a family atmosphere. Located in Overland Park, Kansas, the suburban unit offers structure and community while guests continue their recovery journey.
Membership Rules
The home provides a strict setting where you can relax and have specific rules to follow. It strikes a careful balance to allow residents independence and freedom while working on sobriety.
KCR requires residents to be sober for at least 30 days before living in the home. If you come to KCR directly from treatment, they may make an exception if you’ve been clean for at least 21 days. You must attend recovery meetings and agree to random drug and alcohol screens to ensure you are following the program.
Guests also have full-time employment while staying at the home. Please note that while they offer limited medication assisted treatment (MAT), they don’t offer medical or social services. Financial services are also not available.
Recreational Fun and Engagement
It isn’t all about a rigorous structure at Kansas City Recovery. They have recreational activities that guests attend to keep them engaged in recovery and having some fun.
They also encourage you to pursue an active lifestyle outside of KCR. Guests work, hit the gym, attend 12 Step meetings, and participate in hobbies.
The home offers a clean, drama-free environment so members have stability and continue recovery.
