Insight Treatment Merced

Insight Treatment Merced was a drug and alcohol rehab and mental health treatment center in Merced, California serving teenagers aged about 13 to 19. It offered a continuum of care including assessment and placement, intensive outpatient programs, and a day program with day school support.

Insight Treatment combined evidence based and experiential therapies in a trauma informed, family centered model focused on both addiction and co occurring mental health challenges. However, they are now closed.

Day Treatment with Academic Support

Treatment here would begin with a thorough clinical assessment and placement that evaluates mental health, substance use, and family context to tailor an individualized treatment plan. From there, teens would participate in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or the Day Program with Day School Support, depending on their needs and schedule.

The facility accepted private health insurance and self-pay, though they offered a free clinical assessment, and a sliding fee scale was potentially available.

Experiential and Activity Based Therapies

Clients in the programs here would engage in individual, group, and family therapy, along with experiential therapies. These included art, music, creative writing, yoga, hiking and play based or movement based activities. Insight Treatment also provided support for co-occurring disorders like depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, trauma and emotional dysregulation, and incorporated social skills building, coping strategies, self esteem work, and strong relapse prevention in a setting that emphasizes peer connection and family involvement.

There was extensive family involvement through therapy and parent support groups. The services were coordinated to allow teens to return home each evening when not in the day program.
