Youth Contact

Youth Contact is a nonprofit outpatient addiction and mental health treatment provider for children and youth in Hillsboro, Oregon. They offer outpatient treatment.

They offer substance use treatment and psychiatric services with dual disorder services and only serve Washington County residents under 19 while its clinicians work inside local schools.

In-School Substance Use Treatment

Youth Contact embeds behavioral health staff in five local school districts. They also treat clients in their Hillsboro office and have a second location in Beaverton with substance use services that range from school based support and prevention activities to outpatient counseling.

This prevents an unfamiliar clinic intake for students. Youth Contact treats those younger than 19 and clients must have Oregon Health Plan coverage and live in Washington County. This is one of the few treatment settings built entirely around adolescents.

A Parent Founded Nonprofit

Youth Contact was founded in 1976 by Washington County parents and has never expanded beyond the county with board members that have long tenure. The organization has built standing partnerships with area schools.

Other partnerships include the Washington County Juvenile Department and other youth providers as well as specialized groups for court referred clients which shows a history of coordination.

Clinicians connect with a child's school and community entities as a standard part of treatment. Staff include Spanish speaking clinicians with services in other languages on request.

Youth Contact serves children and youth throughout Washington County and accepts Oregon Health Plan along with Medicare and private insurance.
