About WestCare California MLK
The Westcare Foundation is a nonprofit organization with over 50 years of experience in providing behavioral health services, substance use treatments, and veterans support across the U.S. Their Martin Luther King (MLK) campus is in the southernmost parts of Fresno, California. At this campus, they offer short- and long-term housing for several Westcare programs, including detox and rehab for adults. It’s close to Mary Ella Brown Park.
A Safe Place to Detox and Recover
The MLK campus provides short and long term residential recovery programs for adult men and women struggling with addiction. If someone needs to detox, they provide a safe environment for the detoxification process as well as detox management services. After detox, residents can stay and can further engage with the program, which Westcare recommends, especially if they don’t have safe environments to turn to. An amazing part of their service is that one of their aims is to help at risk individuals avoid homelessness.
Special Residences for Parents
Another wonderful aspect of the MLK campus is that they have special residences and treatments for men or women with children. As a part of Westcare’s network, they also have access to many housing opportunities to give families in need a place to go once they’ve completed their treatment.
