Culturally Grounded Addiction Treatment
The division's Outpatient Treatment Program is adapted from the 12 step Alcoholics Anonymous model to educate clients about substance use disorders and support sustained sobriety.
Individual, group and family therapy are available, along with aftercare group therapy for those completing outpatient or residential treatment.
When more intensive care is needed, clients may be referred to residential treatment for at least 60 days.
Sessions combine substance use recovery with culturally responsive practices delivered by a multicultural counseling team.
Clients may take part in Talking Circles, Sweat Lodge Ceremony and coordination with Traditional Native Healers, addressing both addiction and its underlying roots.
