About The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is a 60 bed residential recovery program in New Orleans, Louisiana dedicated to helping adult men overcome substance abuse.
The center serves men ages 21 to 62 through a structured blend of counseling and work therapy as well as spiritual care and daily living support. Its mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where men can rebuild their lives and return to productive employment and community engagement.
Fishing and Karaoke in Residential Treatment
The center offers a long term residential program with a minimum six month commitment giving participants time to stabilize and develop lasting recovery skills. Services include counseling and support groups, relapse prevention, and education beginning with a comprehensive intake interview.
Daily life combines structured work therapy with counseling sessions and recreational activities like sports nights, fishing, and karaoke.
This immersive approach addresses underlying issues while rebuilding routine and responsibility in addition to community, with practical support including housing and meals, clothing and showers, and laundry.
Faith Based Support and Life Skills
Rooted in The Salvation Army’s charitable mission the program integrates Christian faith elements such as chapel services, Bible study, and pastoral counseling alongside clinical care.
Life skills training, referrals, and ongoing support groups help residents prepare for sustained independence and reintegration into the workforce.
