About Terry Reilly Allumbaugh House

Serving the Underserved
The founder, Terry Reilly, was sent to Nampa by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise to assist a farmworker community living in poverty and without healthcare. In 1971 the first clinic was opened in the back of the Gente House. He started with tutoring children and the services of a pediatrician who agreed to volunteer some time. With a federal grant he was able to build several clinics and started the Terry Reilly health system available today.
Translation Services
Over half of the current staff are bilingual, speaking English and Spanish. For other languages, translation services can be arranged.
Treatment for Substance Use and Dual Diagnosis
The facility treats clients affected by trauma, those with substance use issues, and individuals diagnosed with general behavioral health disorders. Substance use is treated alongside co-occurring mental health disorders. Medically monitored detox is the first line of treatment for clients who need medical assistance during withdrawals.
Treatments include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), behavioral health assessments, case management, and therapy groups. Counseling is available for families.
Aftercare for Sobriety Support
A discharge planner will connect the client to community resources. Alumni meetings are offered weekly to connect and share successes and challenges. Former clients frequently return to share their stories with current clients.
Insurance and Payment Information
Most major insurance coverages are accepted. A sliding fee discount program is available if a client is at or under 200% of federal poverty guidelines. If so, the client then pays an amount based on family size and income. The applicant must be a current Terry Reilly patient. Priority admission is given to low income and/or uninsured clients.
