About Straight and Narrow Paterson
Straight and Narrow, the drug and alcohol rehabilitation division of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson, provides residential and outpatient addiction treatment for adults at its Paterson, New Jersey campus.
The program addresses substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders through a continuum that includes detox, men's residential care, outpatient services, halfway housing and recovery support.

Men's Residential Addiction Treatment
Straight and Narrow's flagship offering at 508 Straight Street is its men's residential treatment program, providing both short-term Level III.7 and long-term Level III.5 care.
The program is one of the oldest and largest of its kind in New Jersey, with deep experience serving adults facing chronic substance use and dual diagnosis needs.
Daily life is built around structure, accountability and community, with work assignments, treatment team meetings, recreational activities and relapse prevention planning.
Clinical care draws on CBT, motivational interviewing, trauma informed counseling and 12 step approaches.

Whole Person Recovery and Wellness Support
Straight and Narrow connects clients to a broad recovery network including pastoral care, a Recovery Wellness Center and the WeConnect Recovery App.
