About Sierra Tribal Consortium Recovery Home
The Sierra Tribal Consortium is a Native American Indian Tribal Organization made up of four federally recognized tribes. In Fresno, California, they offer client centered substance abuse treatment services to Native Americans. This treatment helps individuals establish healthy boundaries, discover effective communication, and integrate Native American culture into their healing.
Two Phases of Non-Medical Treatment for Adults
To begin, you’ll be offered a non-medical social model withdrawal management program. It lasts for 72 hours. After detox is complete, residential treatment will begin, which is considered to be phase one. During this time, you’ll receive education incorporating Native American traditions and spirituality to restore wellness and encourage healing.
Phase two is a transitional living program where you’ll live in a safe and drug free living environment following graduation from inpatient treatment. Phase two only accepts four participants at a time. The longest you’ll be able to stay in phase two treatment is nine months.
Positive Indian Parenting
In addition to substance abuse treatment, you can attend a positive Indian parenting program. It runs 12 weeks and is designed to help parents and families remember the teachings of their ancestors and put them into practice.
