The SHIELDS for Families ARK Program is a community based substance use treatment provider in Lynwood, California offering outpatient addiction care for adults.
ARK combines counseling and co-occurring disorder support with wraparound services designed for justice involved adults and parents as well as community members.
What kinds of addiction treatment are offered?
The ARK Program provides general and intensive outpatient treatment along with aftercare and co-occurring disorder care.
Services include counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention, trauma-related counseling, and 12-step facilitation. Telehealth therapy and referrals to more intensive treatment are also available.
Who can get help here?
ARK serves adults from the general community including pregnant or postpartum clients. The program specifically supports justice-involved adults such as AB 109 re-entry and Drug Court, probation, and parole participant, as well as adults with open DCFS cases.
Veterans and LGBTQ clients, transitional age young adults, and those with co-occurring mental health needs are also welcomed.
Do they take insurance or self-pay?
ARK accepts Medicaid, insurance, and self pay. Sliding scale assistance, financing, and financial help are also available for eligible clients.
