About Ryther

Ryther Child Center is a Seattle-based behavioral health provider for children, adolescents, young adults and families from birth to age 25.

The center treats substance use, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and co-occurring conditions using approaches like CBT, DBT and trauma-focused CBT.

With a mission rooted in healing and hope, Ryther offers flexible, personalized care that keeps families at the center of the recovery journey.

Youth Substance Use Treatment

Ryther's substance use disorder program is designed specifically for young people offering standard drug and alcohol assessments, Level 1 outpatient counseling and Seven Challenges groups.

As a dedicated youth and family provider, the team understands the unique developmental and emotional needs of adolescents facing addiction.

Treatment combines therapy, group support and skill-building activities that address both behaviors and their underlying causes.

The Seven Challenges model encourages honest self-reflection while a co-occurring program ensures that mental health and substance use are treated together rather than in isolation.

Co-Occurring and Family Care

Ryther stands apart by combining substance use treatment with a full continuum of behavioral health services, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization and residential care.

Families benefit from psychiatric evaluation, parent and caregiver coaching, family therapy and creative therapies on one campus.

This integrated model allows youth to step up or step down in care without leaving the Ryther system.

Outpatient
People with mild, stable needs and steady support at home often find outpatient treatment fits their life. It works well for many in Washington.
Aftercare support
People ready for the next chapter can use outpatient sessions, peer groups, alumni contact where offered, and referrals as part of aftercare. The mix is up to what fits each person’s week.
Co-occurring disorders
Once both conditions are handled in one plan, they are treated side by side instead of one after the other in Washington.
