About Odyssey House Louisiana
Odyssey House Louisiana is a nonprofit behavioral healthcare provider in New Orleans offering a full continuum of addiction treatment and behavioral health with primary care services across Louisiana.
Rooted in a community health mission, Odyssey House Louisiana meets people where they are serving low income and underserved Louisianans regardless of their ability to pay.
The organization serves more than 2,000 people each month through programs that address substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and the stabilization needs that support long term recovery.
Women and Children and Other Programs
Odyssey House Louisiana provides medically supported detox, a 28 day intensive inpatient program, and three to six months of intensive outpatient treatment focused on recovery support and life skills as well as employment readiness.
Treatment blends counseling with evidence based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, the Matrix Model and relapse prevention, anger management, and 12 step facilitation.
Programs serve adults and clients with co-occurring disorders along with a dedicated Women with Children program.
Housing, Shelter, and Wraparound Support
The House operates structured sober living homes and transitional housing, case management, and a low barrier shelter for clients who need stability during early recovery. Integrated primary care and prevention outreach, naloxone training, and HIV and Hepatitis C testing round out a whole person approach.
