About Mirror
Mirror is a non-profit organization and provider of services for substance use disorders and mental health disorders. Through their comprehensive programs and services, they provide hope and positivity to people just like you.
They used to have a location in Kansas City, Kansas but it’s now closed. Fortunately, they still have several other locations in the area and throughout Kansas. They have facilities in Newton, Lawrence, Anthony and Medicine Lodge as well as Topeka, Wichita and Shawnee.
Mirror operates on a strengths based philosophy, meaning they focus on what’s strong, not what’s wrong. They believe in highlighting everything good about you and walking alongside you on your journey, because they know that your healing isn’t a mere dream but it’s your next step.
Drug and Alcohol Assessments in Kansas
The first thing you can expect at Mirror is a thorough evaluation which will involve a snapshot of your medical history and your current strengths, stumbling blocks, and goals. This is an important service because from it, you and your care team will collaboratively decide the details of your treatment plan.
Whether you’ve received a substance-influenced traffic infraction, are currently in jail, or simply know it’s time to ask for help, this assessment will serve as your starting point. If you don’t have transportation, Mirror will accommodate a telehealth assessment for you.
Residential Treatment at Mirror
Mirror has a 24/7 residential program that’s designed to speed your recovery so you can learn the skills needed for independence. With this, you’ll learn how to manage yourself mentally, emotionally, and physically. They’ll even equip you with a plan to stay successful and prevent relapse. If your son needs services, Mirror also offers a great adolescent residential program for adolescent boys age 16 to 17.
Medication Assisted Treatment in The Dotte
If you struggle with addiction to opioids or alcohol, we highly encourage you to inquire about Mirror’s MAT program. We like the medication assisted treatment (MAT) offered by Mirror as a powerful avenue in recovery. This is facilitated by their experienced providers with the use of safe medications like methadone and buprenorphine to help you manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
In addition to their MAT, Mirror also offers extensive outpatient services such as therapy, peer support, and case management services to provide you with every tool you need toward sustained rehabilitation.
