About Los Angeles LGBT Mental Health
Los Angeles LGBT Mental Health is an LGBTQ+ affirming substance use treatment and mental health program located in the McDonald/Wright Building in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
Operated by the Los Angeles LGBT Center, the program offers outpatient substance use treatment, mental health therapy, psychiatry and harm reduction services for the LGBTQ+ community.
The approach is stigma-free, culturally competent, and integrates recovery care with broader health and survivor support services.
LGBTQ+ Affirming Treatment Programs and Levels of Care
Clients can begin with an assessment to determine the appropriate level of outpatient care.
The Intensive Day Outpatient Program is a 90-day virtual track that meets five days per week and pairs each client with a one-on-one counselor, while the Evening Outpatient Program meets twice weekly with in-person and virtual options.
Treatment blends harm reduction and abstinence based care, including group processing, psychoeducation, coping-skills development, relapse prevention, safety planning and medication assisted treatment (MAT). Specialized support is available for crystal meth use, opioid use and female identified clients.
