About Kent Youth and Family Services
Kent Youth and Family Services is a nonprofit outpatient substance use treatment provider in Kent, Washington.
The program serves clients ages 11 to 24 with regular outpatient and intensive outpatient services, integrated cooccurring mental health support and family inclusive counseling.
KYFS takes a compassionate, culturally informed and youth centered approach designed to reduce barriers and strengthen family systems.
Youth and Family Addiction Treatment Programs
Care typically begins with a comprehensive substance use and mental health assessment, followed by placement into regular outpatient or intensive outpatient services.
Cooccurring disorders are addressed through dually credentialed clinicians or coordinated mental health and substance use counselors.
Clients can expect a mix of individual, group, and family counseling using evidence based approaches such as CBT, MI, relapse prevention the Matrix Model and trauma related counseling.
Additional supports include case management, naloxone and overdose education, peer support, aftercare and connections to housing and social services.
