About JBS Mental Health Authority
JBS Mental Health Authority is a community mental health organization in Birmingham, Alabama serving clients living with serious mental illness and substance use disorders as well as developmental disabilities.
They are built on rapid coordinated access to care offering same day access and a 24 hour Mobile Crisis Response Team so help is available when it is needed most.
Services include psychiatric evaluations and medication management in addition to case management and rehabilitation delivered through both in-office and telehealth options.
Community Mental Health Care
JBS provides a full range of psychiatric services from evaluation and diagnosis to medication management and ongoing therapy.
The team treats a variety of conditions including depression and anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and ADHD with treatment plans tailored to each client.
Outpatient services include counseling and supportive services designed to address both immediate and long term needs. Telepsychiatry expands access allowing patients to connect with providers remotely for continued and consistent support.
Substance Use and Crisis Support Services
JBS offers Substance Use Disorder Services for clients struggling with addiction including assessment, counseling, and recovery support.
Crisis Services are available around the clock and Court and Justice Services provide assessments, treatment referrals with case management for those involved with the criminal justice system.
