About Indian Health Care Resource Center
Indian Health Care Resource Center is a non emergency outpatient clinic in Tulsa providing integrated medical and behavioral health services to citizens of any federally recognized tribe or nation.
The clinic's Behavioral Health department offers substance abuse treatment, mental health counseling, psychiatric care and recovery support services for children, adolescents and adults. IHCRC delivers culturally sensitive, holistic care that respects each client's spiritual and healing traditions.
Outpatient Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Services
IHCRC's substance abuse program is embedded within its Behavioral Health department, which includes drug and alcohol counselors, psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers and licensed therapists. Before starting treatment, clients complete both a needs assessment and a drug and alcohol assessment with IHCRC staff to develop a personalized care plan.
Treatment combines cognitive and behavioral therapies to build coping skills, trauma focused interventions to address underlying issues and medication services when appropriate. Sessions focus on practical skill building and coordinated support, with recovery support services available to help clients sustain progress. Case management connects clients to community and tribal resources, without requiring a referral.
Integrated Care and Support Services
IHCRC takes a whole person approach by offering behavioral health treatment alongside primary medical care, pharmacy services and wraparound support in one clinic setting. Free transportation is provided for Tulsa County residents who need help getting to appointments and the clinic is accessible via Tulsa Transit bus routes.
