About Heartwood Recovery Rehab & Sober Living
Heartwood Recovery is an innovative addiction treatment center located in the Oak Hill area of Austin, Texas. Their residential and outpatient treatment programs are designed to help adult men overcome drug and alcohol addictions. At the core of their program is an understanding that tackling addiction requires a comprehensive program that takes all aspects of an individual's life into account. Their program is designed to help men reorient themselves toward independence and strength through the recovery journey.
An Alumni Program That Provides Hope
Something that stands out about Heartwood’s residential program is that it incorporates the past experiences and journeys of local Heartwood alumni. Whether you’re in the residential or the partial hospitalization program (PHP), you’ll get guidance from someone who’s been through the program and can empathize on the deepest level. Seeing the ongoing healing in a past patient’s life also shows you that freedom is completely attainable.
A Comprehensive Residential Care Plan
In the residential program, men are assigned a primary clinician who attends to their individual therapy or psychiatry needs. The bulk of their individualized care focuses on breaking down addictive behaviors and unhelpful thought patterns and replacing them with healthier coping skills. They also work to build better strategies for dealing with broader negative emotions and thought patterns in a more productive and healthy way.
Residents also get access to a case manager, recovery advocate, and integration into Heartwood’s internal peer support community. Fostering strong community ties within the program is a key part of their recovery program, which means that the residents also engage in many different group activities ranging from group therapy to shared meals and fitness programs.
Allowing You To Rejoin Society On Your Terms
Heartwood’s other two programs include PHP care and a dedicated sober living house. The PHP program offers a two to four week intensive care plan to help men with the transition from a residential program’s structure back into “normal life.”
The sober living house offers a similar benefit by providing a safe environment for further recovery to men who don’t necessarily have that at home.
