Compassionate Recovery Housing
The homes of Healing House are designed for individuals who have a substance use disorder diagnosis. This offering provides safe shelter for over 220 people. As a resident, you’ll be invited to partake in supportive classes and groups. You’ll also receive peer counseling from others who’ve been in your shoes. Additionally, you’ll have access to assistance in finding and maintaining employment.
Flexible Outpatient Options
We’re impressed by Healing House because they’re certified by the Missouri Department of Mental Health to extend varying levels of outpatient treatment for substance dependency. These outpatient options are great because you don’t have to live in one of their facilities in order to benefit from them. To make these services even more accessible, there’s designated funding in place to make the outpatient services available to you even if you can’t pay.
Recovery Community Center
The Recovery Community Center of Healing House is an incredible way you can bring enhancement to your life. It is run by peers who understand the complexities of recovery because they’ve been through the programs themselves. At the Recovery Community Center, you can enjoy their support groups, employment services and special community events.
Targeted Provisions for Moms in Kansas City
Madeline’s Swaddle House is a home provided by Healing House that’s specially designed for new and pregnant moms in their recovery journey. This home is named after a family who donated to this project. This is a welcoming and nurturing place for you and your baby.
