About Granite Recovery Centers Salem
Granite Recovery Centers is an alcohol and drug treatment organization that also offers treatment for clients with co-occurring mental health disorders. The organization has facilities across six states, including the New Freedom Academy (NFA) outpatient treatment center in Salem, New Hampshire. The Salem location offers partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient programs.
Unique REST Approach to Addiction
The treatment teams at NFA use the REST approach to treatment, which focuses on recovery, education, and skills training. This is a comprehensive curriculum that includes lectures and discussions. The curriculum combines 12 Step principles and evidence based clinical practices.
The program also draws from the personal experiences of women and men in recovery. Clients address many topics including their powerlessness over physical cravings for substances. You’ll explore the changes in perception needed for successful recovery and learn about cognitive distortions to prevent relapse.
Clients will also learn how acceptance and open mindedness assist you in a better experience of recovery. The concepts in the REST program use the basic principles from the book of Alcoholics Anonymous.
An Inclusive Environment For Treatment
The mental health and addiction treatment in Salem is inclusive. The staff is LGBTQ+ friendly, and they have specialized programs for Veterans and young adults.
In addition to REST, you’ll participate in stress management, art and/or music therapy, and have the option of SMART recovery. SMART recovery is research based and secular for clients who find it hard to embrace a higher power. Medication assisted treatment is also available here as well.
