About Discovery Place
Discovery Place is a nonprofit residential rehab center in Burns, Tennessee, and guests work the 12 steps one-on-one and in small groups. Men with alcohol or drug addiction are the only people admitted.
The staff are men in recovery who've finished this program themselves. Family can join a weekly virtual support meeting.
Burns Campus and Dickson
Phase 2 is the long-term recovery program, and it's on a second campus in Dickson, Tennessee, about 15 minutes from Burns.
You stay overnight at the Dickson campus instead of going home each evening, and staff are available around the clock.
Discovery Place has served Middle Tennessee since 1997. The Burns campus covers 18 acres of countryside outside Nashville, and there's fishing, frisbee golf and cornhole on the grounds.
After a guest leaves, staff check in through the first year. Alumni who have remained sober can come back once per year, for life, and spend one free week on the main campus.
They don't accept insurance. You'll pay out of pocket, and third-party financing is available.
