About The Ranch Tennessee
The Ranch Tennessee in Nunnelly is an inpatient facility nestled in the Tennessee woodlands and rolling hills. They accept most major PPO plans. They treat mental health disorders, substance use disorders, trauma and other behavioral health disorders.
Advanced Inpatient Treatments
Clients suffering from substance use with co-occurring mental health issues will be referred to a specialized treatment center. With this diagnosis mental health issues are commonly depression, anxiety, bipolar, bulimia, anorexia, or trauma related disorders.
Most clients will need to enter the medical detox program after admission. This ensures you will be able to detox from substances safely and with medication assistance.
The ranch uses equine therapy, mindfulness based therapy, EMDR therapy, and psychodrama treatment methods. Other methods include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing.
Relaxation and Outdoor Style Treatments
Mindfulness based therapy includes yoga, meditation, relaxation therapy, and guided meditation walks. Adventure therapy teaches lessons of trust, communication, perseverance, team building, and overcoming obstacles.
Examples of adventure therapy available include ropes courses, climbing, hiking, platform trust falls, leap of faith, a triangle traverse, and swinging logs. Also included is a secret maze, a medicine wheel, a rope swing, a Mohawk Walk, a vertical playpen, a safe roller system, and recovery themed geocaching.
Family will be involved in your treatment with therapy and programs. Your family will be taught how to notice signs of relapse, how to set healthy boundaries, and how to build better communication strategies. Families are able to connect with other families during group sessions.
You will be given an aftercare treatment plan upon completion of residential treatment. Appointments will be scheduled with a therapist, psychiatrist, and other medical professionals.
You will be referred to an outpatient program and community groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous. For clients who do not have a sober home or community environment to return to, a referral to a sober living or transitional living residence can be made.
The inpatient residence consists of cottages and bungalow style living spaces which are peer shared. This treatment setting would be exemplary for a client who enjoys being outdoors in mountainous areas.
