About Desert Hope Outpatient Center

Desert Hope’s Outpatient Center is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. This facility offers outpatient addiction treatment to individuals who need substance abuse recovery. They also help with co-occurring disorders that involve mental health issues.

What to Expect with Treatment

Their programs offer a wide range of treatment modalities and therapy styles. They also offer case management and discharge planning to make sure that you are taken care of when you’re ready to fully immerse yourself back into the real world.

In terms of outpatient treatment, they offer several different programs. Their most intensive offering is the partial hospitalization program, which typically meets five days a week for a minimum of 20 hours.

They also have an intensive outpatient program that meets three times per week for a weekly total of between six and 30 hours. Finally, their standard outpatient program only meets one or two days a week. There’s something for everyone here, and it still allows you to return home after sessions are finished.

MAT and Other Therapies

They also offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) if you are trying to detox from drugs or alcohol. They do diagnostic and COVID testing and offer telehealth services to people who cannot make it to the clinic for treatment. There’s one-on-one counseling, group therapy, and family therapy, as well as 12-step groups and other secular groups.

If you’re seeking help with anger, then they offer anger management courses that can help you with that as well. Something that stood out to me was the fact that they offer outpatient housing options. This is a great tool for anyone who needs a nearby sober living home. Once treatment is over, you can also take part in their alumni program. I like this because it’s a community of people who still want to stay connected even after therapy.

Levels of care

Detox
Detox treatment focuses on getting through withdrawal safely before treatment begins. It offers a safer start for anyone whose body has grown used to a substance.
Inpatient / residential
People in Nevada who would rather face recovery with others often choose inpatient care. Day by day, peers share groups, talk and steady encouragement.
Outpatient
Sessions bring individual counseling, group therapy, and relapse-prevention skills to people getting help in Nevada.
Aftercare support
People leaving treatment can keep using outpatient sessions, support groups, and referrals to sober living or community resources as aftercare.
Co-occurring disorders
If a substance use disorder and a mental health condition are both present, care treats them together rather than one after the other. That paired approach is central to care in Nevada.
