About Dawn Farm Spera Recovery Center
Dawn Farm Community of Programs offers a comprehensive continuum of care for substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health challenges. The Spera Recovery Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is the organization’s detox facility. The detox program is free for Dawn Farm clients. The program is not in network with any insurance providers.
Social Detox in Ann Arbor, Michigan
Ann Arbor is a popular and vibrant university town comprised of 67 city blocks in four commercial districts and is easy to navigate on foot. There’s a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, museums, shops, and attractions. The town offers big city amenities with small town vibes.
If you’re ready to start detox, the Spera Recovery Center is less than one mile from this bustling, vibrant downtown district. The detox program is a social detox and takes about five days.
The treatment team does not prescribe any medications during detox. If a client is at risk from withdrawal, they’ll coordinate with a different provider or the emergency room to ensure the client’s safety.
Clients meet daily for meetings and to familiarize themselves with the recovering community. Counselors do initial assessments and monitor withdrawal. They also facilitate the groups and develop comprehensive treatment plans. They’ll help you decide on your next steps, which may include the organization’s nearby inpatient or outpatient programs.
Nonbinary and Transgender Individuals Welcome
One of the things that’s great about this program is the way they welcome everyone. If you’re nonbinary or trans, they’ll create your client record based on your preferred gender and name.
Sleeping arrangements in the nearby residential program are gendered. However, nonbinary and transgender clients can choose which sleeping area is best for them.
Next Steps On Your Recovery Journey in Michigan
The organization has residential and outpatient programs in separate facilities. There are two residential programs, one of which is in Ann Arbor, only one mile from the detox facility. The other residential program is in Ypsilanti, 15 miles from the detox facility.
There’s an outpatient program on Golfside Road in Ann Arbor about six miles from the detox facility. With the help of your counselor in detox, you’ll decide on your next steps.
