About Cheyenne VAMC Laramie MTC
Located right in the heart of Cheyenne, Wyoming, is the Cheyenne VA Medical Center. This is a full service medical facility that offers inpatient and outpatient treatment to veterans and their families. They have a dedicated recovery program here if you're struggling with your mental health or have a drug and alcohol use disorder.
Some of the ways they can help you include medically supervised detox, medication assisted treatment, and continuing care services for when you're ready to step down to an outpatient program.
Comprehensive Addiction Treatment
Throughout the VA Cheyenne Healthcare System, there are a number of outpatient clinics where addiction treatment can happen. However, the Cheyenne VA Medical Center is where the highest level of care is available. You can come here to the clinic directly or be referred here through other facilities within the VA network. When you do start treatment here, you can expect to be supported by the latest evidence based therapies, treatment approaches, and holistic supports.
Accessible Care
For many of the departments here, referrals are needed, but it's easy to get those referrals. When you do start receiving support here, you'll find amenities like free lodging for your family on the campus so that they can be with you when you need it most.
This medical campus also offers chaplain services, has dining and retail options for you and your family, an on site library, and they'll even provide transportation to help you get to and from the clinic.
Specialized Services
Going beyond providing you with quality addiction treatment, you’ll also have access to specialized services like minority veteran care, support if you've been a victim of sexual abuse, services if you're experiencing homelessness, dietary support, among other resources.
They also have social workers on site who can help coordinate care so that when you get back to your home life, you'll get linked to resources in your local community that can further support you. These resources include everything from housing support to job readiness support to vocational training, and so much more.
