About Center for Change
Center for Change is an outpatient eating disorder treatment provider in Boise, offering structured day treatment and intensive outpatient programs for adolescents and adults of all genders.
The center integrates evidence based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and ACT with nutritional counseling, family therapy and therapeutic meals to treat eating disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Care is delivered in a beautifully restored home in Boise's historic North End, creating a supportive, non clinical environment for recovery.
Eating Disorder Treatment
Center for Change specializes in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs designed for individuals who need more support than weekly therapy but don't require residential care. These structured programs provide multiple sessions per week including individual counseling, group therapy and family sessions with dedicated focus on eating disorder recovery and underlying trauma or dual diagnosis concerns.
Treatment incorporates therapeutic meals and snacks alongside evidence based modalities like dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. Sessions help patients address thought patterns, develop coping skills and build healthier relationships with food and body image, while nutritional counseling and relapse prevention support lasting change beyond the program.
Whole Person Support
The center's programs include dedicated nutritional counseling and therapeutic meal support as core components of treatment. This hands on approach helps patients practice real world skills in a safe setting, guided by professionals who address both the physical and psychological aspects of eating disorder recovery.
