About Bay Area Council On Drugs and Alcohol Houston

Bay Area Council on Drugs and Alcohol is a nonprofit organization in Houston's Clear Lake area offering outpatient substance use counseling, education and intervention services led by a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.

BACODA's Life Recovery Services program supports youth, adults and families through counseling and assessments, psycho educational classes and crisis support in English and Spanish.

With a community rooted mission, BACODA blends prevention, recovery and referral resources to make help accessible for every stage of the substance use journey.

Outpatient Substance Use Counseling

BACODA's core specialty is outpatient substance use counseling for individuals and families navigating drug or alcohol concerns.

Sessions are led by a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and supported by state certified instructors for educational programming.

Care begins with a free intake and screening to determine the right level of service, followed by brief motivational counseling, problem identification and personalized referrals.

Clients can meet in office, virtually or at a community site, facility or school campus, allowing care to fit real life schedules and circumstances.

Education and Family Support

Beyond counseling, BACODA provides psycho educational classes, court ordered Texas state mandated drug offender education and youth prevention and intervention services.

This combination helps families address substance use early while meeting legal or school related requirements in one trusted setting.
