About AEGIS Treatment Centers
AEGIS Treatment Centers was taken over by Pinnacle Treatment Centers in 2020. They have a quarter century of experience in mental health and addiction medication assisted treatment (MAT). Their location in Bakersfield, California, is an outpatient MAT location that offers therapy for opioid addiction and has programs to meet the needs of pregnant women, veterans, and first responders. There are also general outpatient programs for adults struggling with addiction to alcohol or other substances.
Treatment Options to Meet Everyone’s Needs
Pinnacle has individual therapy models and treatments to help meet the needs of every individual who comes to them for help. This includes cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy (CBT and DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma support.
They also have complementary holistic therapy options such as nature connected therapy, mindfulness and meditation activities, yoga, and expressive therapies. Their expressive therapies include music, art, creative writing, and journaling.
Physical Fitness and Recreational Therapeutic Activities
On top of the evidence-based therapies listed above they also have a wide range of physical and recreational activities such as weight training, aerobics, basketball, volleyball, and tennis. There are also many walking trails, a place for swimming and water activities.
Levels of Outpatient Care
Outpatient treatment is offered with varying levels of intensity. This may be delivered in general or intensive outpatient (IOP) or partial hospitalization programs (PHP). They also have an Office Based Opioid Treatment program that offers Suboxone. Suboxone is a combination of naloxone and buprenorphine that helps minimize the effects of physical and mental withdrawal from highly addictive drugs.
They work with most major health insurance providers though do not accept out-of-network plans. It’s important to check with your health insurance provider to know what coverage you have and whether you’re responsible for any expenses related to treatment.
