About A Positive Alternative
A Positive Alternative provides addiction treatment for adults 18 and older in Seattle, Washington. Intensive Outpatient Care
Clients begin with a screening and assessment to ensure the intensive outpatient program is the right fit for their needs and motivation level. The gender-specific tracks provide structure, peer support and evidence-based therapies in a curated group setting at the historic Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford.
Treatment integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing to help clients understand cravings, manage stress and prevent relapse.
Alternative Treatment Options
Additional services include Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP), polyvagal theory classes for nervous system regulation, wellness programming and family support services to involve loved ones in the recovery process.
