Powell CDC delivers a voluntary, abstinence-based 12-step informed program for adults struggling with alcohol, opioids, stimulants and a wide range of other substances.
Located in the Iowa Lutheran Hospital, the program offers scheduled assessments to match each client with the right level of care.
Treatment blends counseling, group education, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention, with short-term mental health therapy and co-occurring care available.
Family Recovery and Lasting Aftercare
Powell CDC places a strong emphasis on healing the whole family, offering a structured Family Recovery Program and no-fee family support meetings for loved ones of current patients.
Clients may also benefit from eighteen volunteer-led aftercare groups, an alumni and friends association and specialty groups that nurture lasting recovery community.
