About UCS Healthcare – Ankeny
UCS Healthcare is a medical facility that provides comprehensive healthcare for physical needs as well as behavioral health in Ankeny, Iowa. As part of the behavioral health program, UCS provides outpatient support for substance use disorders (SUD) including medication assisted treatment (MAT) to help you detox and work towards full sobriety. UCS also offers continuing care and relapse prevention.
Outpatient Detox from Drugs and Alcohol
Getting sober or at least stepping down from illicit substances is the first step in your addiction treatment journey. UCS’ MAT program is one of the few in the state of Iowa and works on an outpatient basis with over 14 locations within the UCS network, including Ankeny. The goal is to slowly step you down with less frequent dosing visits as you continue on your sobriety journey.
MAT can be used for both opioid and alcohol addictions. Likewise, pregnant women receive priority admission to the program to help them stabilize and ideally achieve sobriety to minimize the negative impact of drug or alcohol use on their unborn babies.
Extensive Counseling Support
The Ankeny facility provides services Monday through Friday on an outpatient basis with access to MAT dosing on all business days as well. You’ll also have access to individual and group therapy sessions as well as continuing care once you complete the outpatient program. There are also relapse prevention services for people that have completed all of the recovery programs at UCS.
A Collaborative Treatment Program
UCS believes in a dual diagnosis and tandem counseling strategy which means that you’ll attend counseling sessions or meet with a therapist while also undergoing MAT if necessary. The collaborative approach can also include counseling referrals or even resource connections to help you access essential services or supports in your community to get back on your feet.
UCS accepts most major insurance as well as Medicaid and Medicare.
